Urban Generation
The final Urban Generation event: a seminar sharing the Torino digital twin, urban EPWs, UWG workflows, and results, followed by a hands-on Grasshopper workshop using the same research pipeline.
Stage
One research day, two formats.
The final PRIN PNRR Urban Generation event at Castello del Valentino combined a morning seminar for 40 students with an afternoon Grasshopper workshop for more than 60 participants.
The workflow in the afternoon
Participants test the same Torino environmental process through prepared Grasshopper definitions and guided exercises.
From evidence to practice
The full event turns research infrastructure into both a public explanation and a practical learning experience.
Backstage
I used one workflow for both halves.
I co-organized the day, presented the Torino research, prepared its workflows, and taught the Grasshopper component. ENVI-met remained a parallel contribution prepared and taught by others.
I kept the chain connected
The urban data, weather files, city geometry, simulations, and results stayed linked from the seminar explanation to the workshop exercises.
I changed the teaching mode
The seminar established the evidence. The workshop then let participants open, change, and apply the same method.
I kept authorship clear
My contribution covers the Torino digital twin, urban EPWs, UWG work, event coordination, and Grasshopper teaching. I did not author or teach the ENVI-met component.
